Maneev, Shulamit Irena 67, of Minneapolis passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Shulamit was born in Kharkov, Ukraine to parents Joseph and Sima Maneev on October 22, 1955. She is survived by her daughter Victoria and many cousins in Ukraine, Russia, and Israel. Whether playing, performing in concert, or teaching, Shulamit's passion for music was the centerpiece of her life. It was her gift to share with the world. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the Rimsky-Korsakov Academy of Music in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia. She continued to perform and teach music upon moving to Israel and the United States. Shulamit meant so much to her family and to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed. Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. There will be a graveside service Friday January 27, 2023 at 10:30am at Temple Israel Memorial Park, 4200 3rd Ave S., Minneapolis. Service also available on Zoom.
