Moorhead, Gene Donald age 87, Plymouth, MN and Dunedin, FL, formerly of Greenfield and Oak Knoll, passed away peacefully at home 1/21/23. He was born in Mpls. on 6/21/1935 to Basil and Margaret Halpin Moorhead. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Edith (Spangberg) Moorhead; daughter, Laura L Purinton (Robert); grandchildren, Kendall and Wesley; sister, Janice Mclain; favorite nieces, Carly Mclain, and Christy Ball; great-nephews, Max, and Roman; great-niece Summer. Gene graduated from Hopkins High School "53" and received a degree at the U of M. He enjoyed traveling the US and world, (Ireland many times to visit relatives), reading, fishing, sports and having a beverage with friends. He loved and missed his two best pals, Shiner and Sare.
