On 1/13/23, Louis S. Axtman, loving father and grandfather, passed away at age 71. He was born on 2/5/51 in Devil's Lake, ND, to Louis D. Axtman and Irene (Smith) Axtman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Jana (Jurkovich) Cummins. He is survived by his daughters April Ginsberg (Todd) and Roxane Axtman, daughters' mother Nancy Johnson, granddaughter Juliet Corona, grandson Ethan Ginsberg, sisters Carolyn Jurkovich (Dan) and Janis Driscoll (Tom), and nieces and nephews. Louis (AKA "Lou Buck") had expert skills as a carpenter, fisherman, and hunter. He enjoyed hunting elk on horseback, freshwater and deep sea fishing, and entertaining his family at the lake. Lou Buck was also known as a good cook and gracious host. He was a joyous and fun loving man and will be missed. A private celebration and burial will take place.
