Mary Theresa Caldwell

Caldwell, Mary Theresa died peacefully on November 30th, 2022, with her family by her side. Mary T, as her lifelong friends and family referred to her, was a kind, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. Being a Wife & Mother and raising her four daughters to grow into strong, independent women was her greatest joy. Mary was an incredibly hard worker. The words "just relax" were not in her vocabulary. Mom tirelessly tended to the hobby farm in Medina along with Dad and the girls, it was a labor of love. She also found time to organize family fun; downhill skiing, boating, horseback riding, and golfing, along with wonderful family dinners, are the memories the girls treasure most. Mary also had a great career in sales, from cars to furniture to real estate; her work ethic and caring attitude shone through. Mary was quite the dancer; if you ever attended a wedding with the Caldwell's, you know what we're talking about! Mom loved to have fun, especially with her golf group and other longtime friends. Her greatest gift was one of acceptance of others, she repeated the mantra "accept them as they are" whenever one of us came to her with a grievance. Mary passed away after a long battle with Dementia and other physical struggles. She is survived by her husband Edward of 59 years, who was also her loving caretaker for the past several years; four Daughters and 9 Grandchildren; Angie (John), Cassidy, Chaney, Crosby Gilmore; Aimee (Sean), Owen, Henry O'Leary; Aundy (Barclay), Jasper, Ella Crenshaw; and Ann (Jed), Orion, Cedar Botsford, and her big Sister Delores Killian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Irene Leuer, Sister Muriel Fresard, and many loving family members. We pray she continues to be our Guardian Angel watching over us all. The family would like to thank the staff at Trails of Orono, Park Nicollet Hospice, and Sheila Adams for their loving care of Mary when they could not be present. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sharing and Caring Hands, Feed My Starving Children, or Interfaith Outreach. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 9th, at Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Wayzata, MN 55391. Visitation 9:30-11:00 am, Mass 11:00 am, luncheon immediately following service. Gearty-Delmore 763-553-1411 gearty-delmore.com
