Sue was a life-long learner. As a student, a devoted mother, a worker in the field of nutrition, a dedicated volunteer, a lover of the arts, a superb hostess, a writer and world traveler, Sue was creatively engaged in everything she did. She taught piano and was an accomplished soloist, even recording her own album. Her openness to new ideas and different perspectives kept her curious to the end. Sue believed in the sacredness of all things, as reflected in her love of nature, care for the planet, and understanding that we are all spiritual beings. Everything she did was with style, from her red glasses to eclectic jewelry and cowboy boots. Anchored by the joy and love of her family, Sue was an inspiration to many. She lived every day with purpose, embracing each phase of life as another adventure. The family is especially grateful for the loving care Sue received from the staff at Presbyterian Homes in Bloomington and Optage Hospice. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
