Stephanie returned to heaven on August 24, 2022 at the age of 72. Stephanie was born to Marion and Sylvester Kosmoski in Southwest Minneapolis. She was the second youngest of six siblings. Married to Dr. Curt Tessman for 30 years, she supported him as he built a successful practice in Chicago, and they enjoyed retirement in Sarasota, Florida. Stephanie dedicated her life to caring for others. Her younger brother, Joey, struggled with complex health issues from the time he was a baby. She provided care and support to him and her mother for many decades and provided a home for Joey throughout his life. When Curt's parents were no longer able to care for themselves, she prepared a room, moved them in, and cared for them both until the end of their lives. Known as Stephfunny, she always put the needs of others before her own. Challenged with rheumatoid arthritis at an early age, she never let it slow her down and she never once complained. She believed life is a gift and she didn't waste a single moment. She was known for her thoughtfulness and generosity. She loved music, dancing and bringing people together. She lived by and for her faith in God. She imparted that faith to those she loved and will be deeply missed by the friends and family she left behind. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Charlie Joe; brothers Joseph Kosmoski and James Kosmoski; and her beloved fur baby Buddy Murphy. She is survived by her husband, Curt Tessman, daughter, Sara Affias, brothers Jon (Pat) Kosmoski, Jeff (Roxi) Kosmoski, sister-in-law Sue Kosmoski and sister MaryAnn Miller. For memorials, Stephanie requests everyone "Pay it forward - do something for someone in need: a kindness, a favor, a surprise lunch." She lived that way every day. A celebration of her life will be held on November 18th at 2pm at her dear friend Rami Nehme's Origin Pizza Cafe, 4944 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL.
