Johnsrud, Charlene "Char" (Novack) of Brooklyn Park, age 73, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 15, 2022, with family and friends by her side. Char was born February 19th 1949, in Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Esther (Berthiaume) Novack, beloved daughter Tammy Lynn Johnsrud and brother George Nielsen. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Johnsrud, son, Derek Johnsrud, grandchildren, Vashaun Miller, Hayley Johnsrud, brother Gaylord (Sue) Novack, Doug (Marti) Novack, Earl (Pat) Nielsen, and her canine friend Shorty. Funeral Mass 11:00AM, Wednesday, October 12th, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave. N, Brooklyn Center. Visitation 1 hour prior to service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Co-Redemptorist Association or Wounded Warriors. Private interment at Gethsemane Cemetery at a later date.
