Rodning, Karen Passed away the morning of September 20, 2022 with family by her side, surrounded in the love of all who knew her. Karen Rodning was born in St. Peter, MN and grew up on a family farm in New Sweden. She attended college at Gustavus Adolphus and Northern Arizona University. After college, she made her home in Minneapolis, where she became a specialty gas account manager at Toll Company for over 41 years. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Marilyn Rodning. She is survived by: brother Ken (Marcia), sister Kathryn, brother Danny (Nancy) and sister Janet (Kyle Lindstrom); her beloved nieces and nephews, Angela Wise, Michael Rodning, Amanda Rodning, Christine Lindstrom-Berens, Andrew Lindstrom and great nieces and nephews; her dear cousin John Rodning and close friend Patrick Weiland; special God children Angela, Mike, Amanda, Karen Brianna, Belen, Yan. Karen loved her large, extended family including her aunts, uncles, cousins and so many lifelong friends. Karen's passions in life were good food, travel to 43 countries, her many friendships around the world and most of all, family. An invitation to Karen's was special. She loved entertaining, always setting a beautiful table and creating delicious meals. Everyone who came into her home felt special and loved. Karen was a proud 46-year ovarian cancer survivor. She dedicated many years as a volunteer at the University of Minnesota Care Partner's program, working with over 25 families and their children from many countries, creating deep and lasting friendships. A memorial service for Karen will be on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Mount Olivet Church, 5025 Knox Ave S, Minneapolis.
