Hendrickson, Gerald L. of Golden Valley, Minnesota, passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 89. Preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Solveig (Sue) and his sister, Patricia. Survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Jeanette; his son Michael (Krystal) Hendrickson; his brother Peter (Lida) Hendrickson; and a large and loving extended family of stepchildren Michelle Case, Patty (Jeff) Roskam, Mari Irmiter, Bob (Vicki) Bitner, Steve (Debbie) Bitner, Jerry (Leslie) Bitner, along with 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. Jerry's family moved to Panama when he was young, eventually returning to the Midwest. Jerry became an engineer and worked for Honeywell for 35 years. He then worked for Aspen Research and Tundra Companies, ostensibly retiring a decade ago. But all who knew him understood he would never "retire," as the gears were always turning and his hands were always busy, whether perfecting his talents, teaching himself new ones (stained glass, weaving), or indulging in the books stacked next to his chair. A graveside ceremony will be held on October 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope, with a Celebration of Life luncheon from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Flourish, 9000 Golden Valley Road. Memorials preferred to Interfaith Outreach or the American Heart Association. Gearty-Delmore.com 763-553-1411
