Freerks, Patricia J. (nee Grasser) age 95, of Edina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, in the presence of loved ones. She was born August 13, 1927, in Olivia, Minnesota. A graduate of Olivia High School, she then moved with her sister to Minneapolis, where she met and married her beloved husband, Eugene. She loved her work over many years at Kitchen Window. As one of the founding employees, she went on to successfully manage the shops in Edina and Uptown. Always very active in her church and community, she served in numerous positions and volunteer roles, including church guilds, Meals on Wheels, Edina League of Women Voters, and Cub and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed outdoor activities and was an accomplished bowler, golfer, and cyclist. She was a giving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; a cultivator of many lifelong friendships; a long-time student of the arts at Normandale Community College; and a devoted fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. She is predeceased by her very loving husband and lifetime partner, Eugene, four sisters and one brother. She is survived by her sons Douglas, James (Mary), Robert (Laurie) and Karl (Daisy); daughters Heidi Chadwick (Greg) and Christine Bartholdt (Bart); 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her many loved ones will greatly miss her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 7, 10 AM, at The Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St. Patrick's Lane, Edina with visitation one hour prior to mass.
