Mathena, William James (Bill) age 85, passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2022. Survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, JoAnne, sons Kevin (Anne), Patrick (Cheryl), daughters Vonda Oliver (Wade) and April Reynolds. Also 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition, survived by 2 sisters, Kathy Johansen, Ruth Windholtz and many nieces and nephews. Bill was born July 1, 1937, in Nowthen, MN and raised in Osseo, MN. He graduated from Osseo High School in 1955. Bill was enlisted in the USAF 1956-60. Honeywell Inc. employee from 1960-1993. Accepted Jesus as Savior & Lord around 1972 and is now in Heaven. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, Aug 16th at Emmanuel Christian Center-Maple Grove 14320 93rd Ave N, Maple Grove 55369. Visitation begins at 10:30 am, service at 11 am, reception will follow. Future burial at Fort Snelling.
