McDonald, Judith (Judy) Nowell (Bowe) Judith Nowell McDonald, age 82 of Shoreview, passed away peacefully at home 7/30/22. Judy was born 6/13/40 in Worcester, MA, grew up in Greenwich, NY, and moved to the Twin Cities in 1960, where she met and married her late husband James Bowe and settled in New Brighton, MN. After James' death in 1988, Judy again found love and married Robert McDonald (Bob), with whom she had just celebrated their 29th anniversary. Judy was preceded in death by James, father Frank, mother Marjorie, sisters Nancy McGarvey and Carol Mesick, and niece Leslie Center. Survived by husband Bob, children Andrew (Debra) and Molly (Bryan); stepsons William, James (Sherry), and Michael (Karen); grandchildren Alex, Katie, Ryker, Kendyll, Riley, Jeff (Ashley), Kevin, and Dani; great grandchildren Tristan, Maverick, and Rhett. She is also survived by niece Julie Mesick and nephews Doug McGarvey, Scott McGarvey (Kari), Bruce McGarvey (Marilee), Gary Mesick, Mike Mesick, and Ron Mesick (Lisa). Judy really enjoyed cruising with Bob and doing crosswords. She worked in the credit office at JCPenney Rosedale until they computerized. Judy was happiest with family and friends, loved flowers, and was generous and caring. Health issues in her later years did not affect her cheerful disposition, as Judy wanted focus to be on her loved ones. A Celebration of Life with her family and friends will be held August 16th from 11-2 PM at Hillside Cemetery Community Center, 2600 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis.
