Betty went gently into the night; beautifully, peacefully, gracefully on June 20, 2022. She was mom to her three children - Cyndi, Chris, and Jennie, two sons-in-law - John and Jeff, and grandma and "Number 4" to her special friend and granddaughter, Else. She loved us all fiercely. She was gracious and kind to everyone, knowing it just took a simple hello and smile to make someone's day. She loved poetry, reading, and Sunday drives. She never left the house without her red lipstick applied, a pin on her jacket, heels in the early days and coordinating sneakers as she got older. Mom was extremely sharp with numbers, as deftly exhibited through family games of hearts and constant "figuring" throughout her life. She had a sixth sense about people, there was no hiding, she saw you, and with that drew you in with empathy and grace. At the end of the day Mom beat the odds - with a story that makes her uniquely her. She will always be cherished with stories and smiles, and the person we will endeavor to emulate with kindness and determination. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater, MN on Monday, June 27 - visitation from 2:00pm-3:00pm with a memorial service following.
