Fogarty, Rear Admiral William M. age 86, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022. He was a wonderful man who loved his family, his country, and his Catholic faith. He will be dearly missed. William was a native of Des Moines, Iowa. He entered the Navy via NROTC at Iowa State University, where he also lettered in football. He went on to proudly serve his country for 31 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol Page, their two sons, Charles (Nicole) and Steven, and four sons from a previous marriage, Mike (Tucker), Brian (Doreen), Kevin (Sandy), John (Erika) and ten grandchildren, Margaret Tucker, Ansley, Megan, Brandon, Collin, Brian, Emily, Kayla, Audrey, and Gunnar. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Jack Fogarty (Carolyn), five nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. His highly decorated military history, includes the recommissioning of the battleship USS New Jersey, and later serving as Commanding Officer, Joint Task Force Middle East during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
