Heggelman, Johanna "Anne" 93, She went gently into the night; beautifully, peacefully, gracefully. She was interesting. As a child in the Netherlands, she grew up surrounded by the horrors of war and that childhood impacted her throughout her life. She married the love of her life and immigrated to Canada and then the U.S. She and her husband Bill were the American Dream. Successful, blessed with three talented, wildly attractive daughters, they were everything this country has stood for since its inception. She was proud to be an American and loved this country. She was curious. She read voraciously and was up to date on politics and anything trending; she was even conversant in cryptocurrency. She was funny. She had a very unique sense of humor and a very creative, quirky way of describing everyday life. She was charming, refined, fiesty and a little sassy and lived her life to the fullest. She was unforgettable to any and all who met her. She is survived by her daughters, Renee, Monique and Stefanie; grandchildren Anica, Gina, William, Haley, Sydney and Samantha; great-granddaughters, Mia, Lilah and Holland. She was loved and we will miss her. A celebration of her life will held June 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum (in the Auditorium in the Snyder Building).
