Leila Ann 'Lee' (Stacy) Loren

Loren, Leila "Lee" Ann (Stacy) 8/8/1936 - 5/13/2022 Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Adlia Stephenson Stacy (nee Ankeny) and Vera May Stacy (nee Marks), brothers Buryl (Opal), Dale (Flo), Dick. She is survived by daughters Leanne Loren (Joe Charboneau) and Sandy Nygaard (Scott), sister-in-law Judy Stacy, nieces and nephews. Lee grew up in "Nordeast" Minneapolis and Columbia Heights, attending grade school at Edith Cavell & Lowry and high school at Edison & Columbia Heights. After she married, Lee lived in several states and Canada, eventually settling in Houston and New Orleans for a number of years. In the mid-seventies, she returned home to Minneapolis with her daughters. Once settled in Minneapolis, Lee took up polka dancing with friends. She also joined a singles square dancing group where she met Bill Scheilbel. She introduced Bill to her polka friends and Bill was her dancing partner and close companion until his death. Lee was a 21 year employee of US Bank in the Safe Deposit & Credit Card departments. After retiring she took up long blade ice skating with a seniors group. Now at the end of her journey on earth, Lee has hung up her dancing shoes and ice skates.
