Pistilli, James 92, passed away peacefully on May 3 in his home at Founders Ridge, in Bloomington, MN. Those who knew and loved Jim remember him as a sweet, loving, kind and funny man. He was a devoted husband (for 54 years) to his wife Catherine until her death in 2001. Jim served in the Army (1948-1951) and worked at Xcel Energy for 40+ years. He was passionate about golf, bowling and softball. He liked to tease and make people smile. He especially loved his dogs Betsy and Lucy. Jim's philosophy in life can best be summed up: enjoy life, have fun, be kind, make friends, be honest and laugh a lot. He is survived by his daughter Lynne Groth (husband Rob), grandchildren Laura Kelly, Alyx Groth and Jennifer Yeend (husband Mark) great grandchildren Hudson, Beckett and Dash; daughter Sue Culver (husband Tim), grandchildren Leah Culver (husband Edward Marks), Anne Lubbe (husband Dan) great grandchild Weston and grandchild Nicole Culver; son Tony Pistilli (wife Nancy) grandchild Anthony Pistilli (wife Rose) great grandchildren John, Zelle, Maria, Stella and grandchild Sara Pistilli. He will be forever in our hearts. The immediate family will hold a celebration of his life on Friday, June 3 at Founders Ridge with limited attendance due to Covid restrictions.
