Horton, Delores "Bardy" Age 93, of Columbia Heights, MN passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Preceded in death by husband, Stewart Morris; husband Lyle Horton; parents, Ruth and Arthur Baardson; son, Thomas Morris; stepson, Robert Horton, step son-in-law Bob Brooks, siblings, Betty, Robert and Dennis. Survived by daughter, Cheryl (Tim) Morris Ecklund; daughter-in-law, Lucy Morris; 4 stepchildren, Charles (Phyllis) Horton, Karen (Donald) Schultz, Mary Horton, Dennis Horton; 5 grandchildren, 10 step- grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and dear friends. Delores was born in Minneapolis. She spent her youth growing up on a farm in Beldenville Wisconsin. Delores was a member of Northeast United Methodist Church and also a very active member of the Fridley American Legion Post #303 Auxiliary as well as the 10th District American Legion Auxiliary. Delores' caring demeanor and big heart was admired by many. She loved her family and always had hugs and a big smile for the grandchildren and always wanted to know what they were up to and how they were doing. Special thanks to the Guardian Angels Care Center of Elk River and the Guardian Angels Elim Hospice of Elk River for their excellent care and guidance. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 22, 1-5pm at the Fridley American Legion Post #303. Private burial on a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Guardian Angels Care Center of Elk River.
