Brown, Carol age 75, of Edina, passed away on January 6, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. Carol was born in Minneapolis to Ray and Mary Brown. She attended Resurrection Grade School and St. Margaret's Academy, graduating in 1964. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, after which she taught math and later began a long career at Pillsbury Co. in the accounting field. Carol's love of travel took her to destinations nationally and internationally with Jerry Rother, her friends and her sister Bridget. She was an avid reader and pursued constant learning by attending community education courses and lectures and local theatrical productions. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Brown; her brother Dick Brown; and her long-time partner, Jerry Rother. She is survived by her brother Jerry (Sue) Brown; sister Bridget (Rick) Soja; sister-in-law Sandi Brown; nephews Jason (Marta Sibirica) Brown, Keenan Brown, Dylan Brown, Brian (Tanya) Soja, Kyle Soja, and Jerry Rother's children and grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Methodist Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Carol in her final weeks of life. A celebration to honor Carol's life is planned for the spring of 2022. Memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society or donor's charity of choice.
