Heaney, Thomas Francis May 26, 1945- December 19, 2021 Tom "King Tom" Heaney passed away on December 19, 2021, at 76 years of age. Tom was born on May 26th, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Homer and Charlotte Heaney. He was one of God's great characters, beloved by all who were fortunate enough to spend time with him you always walked away laughing. He had a gift for making people feel special because he truly listened to you. Tom graduated in 1963 from DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Cloud State University and a Masters from Minnesota State University. He was President of Physicians Health Plan of Minnesota (now Allina Health Systems) and was a Managing Director at Korn Ferry International in Executive Search with a focus on senior level executive and board placements. He was on a number of boards including Innovative Blood Resources and Goodwill/Easter Seals. He also served on the City of Eagan Planning Commission. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Mike Heaney. Survived by his ex-wife Janis Heaney, married for 25 years; Travis & Christa Rymal, grandchildren Taylor, Mason and Chloe; Tiffany Rymal & Jim Donlevie, grandchildren Riley, Jace, Julia, Jessica and Ryan; brothers, Denny (Margo), Bob (Kathy), Pat (Jill); and his nieces and nephews. A celebration of Tom's incredible life will be held in the Spring/Summer in Minneapolis, date and time to be announced later.
