Howe, Mildred C. Age 100, of Hopkins, MN, passed away peacefully January 5th, 2022. Born in Underwood, N.D., Millie married Alton Howe of Plaza, N.D. on New Year's Eve, 1939. Employed as a sales clerk (Underwood, St. Louis) secretary (Bismarck, Sioux Falls, MIT), medical lab tech (Lake Forest Hospital, Abbott Hospital), licensed daycare operator (Hopkins). Millie finished her working years as a lab tech/activity coordinator at Oak Terrace Nursing Home (Glen Lake). After retirement she spent 17 winters in Apache Junction, AZ making new friends and doing the hula, line dancing, and teaching low-impact aerobics to seniors. Millie loved to sing and dance, cherished her family, and was a loyal friend. She especially loved babies and was always so very grateful to be alive. "Look for the good in others," she'd insist, "You're sure to find it!" Preceded in death by parents, 6 brothers and sisters and husband Alton. Survived by 3 children, Julie, David, and Donald of Hopkins. No public services planned. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
