Borchert, Clayton J. Age 81, passed away at home in Coon Rapids, MN on 11/16/2020. Preceded in death by parents; Wallace and Rose and brothers; Curtis, Wallace, and Ronald. Clayt is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Mary; sons, Todd (Kathy), and Glenn (Toni); grandchildren, Andrew (Flavia), Patrick (Thomas), Caysha (Adam), Evan (Elizabeth) Jessica, Melaina, and Hayden. Also survived by brothers Dale and Alan, and sisters, Pam and Mildred, surrogate daughters (Rachael and Brittany) four step grandchildren, step-great granddaughter (Nevaeh), and numerous nieces and nephews. Born 11/30/1938, Clayt served in the US Navy and then worked for NSP, retiring at age 54. Clayt and Mary wed on 8/26/1961, after which they were inseparable. Both before and after retiring, if you had a project, Clayt may well have helped you. Clayt always felt blessed by both his and Mary's extended families, friends and neighbors. Knowing he would prefer a gathering filled with smiles and laughter over a somber service, a celebration and luncheon in honor of Clayt will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, 10/3/2021 at North Star Community Church, 11640 Crooked Lake Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
