Mowlem, Dr. Albert of Roseville, Minnesota died suddenly on Thursday September 16, 2021 at the age of 96. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna Mowlem. Albert was born in Baghdad, Iraq and in his youth attended various boarding schools abroad. He came to New York City to study at Columbia University. He continued his education at Yale Medical school and then received a PhD in surgery from the University of Minnesota. He was a thoracic surgeon and U of M medical school faculty member where he enjoyed teaching students and continuing his own learning throughout his long life. Al was a Korean War veteran, having served in a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) unit during the war. In 1960, Albert met and married Donna Jean Goldencrown in the Twin Cities, MN. She was the love of his life for forty years. He leaves behind their three children, Nancy (Noel), John (Lena) and Amy (Tony); and four grandchildren, Alex, Nils, Isabel and Olivia. He was beloved as a husband, father, grandfather, surgeon, teacher, friend and neighbor. A private service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery. Roseville Memorial Chapel 651-631-2727
