Zaudtke, Dean Michael "Big Zud" Age 66, Passed away suddenly June 3, 2021, 4 days before his 67th birthday. Dean is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lynn; father, Robert Zaudtke; Mother, Kathaleen Zaudtke/Russ; step-father, Elmer Russ; Grand-daughter, Shae Lynne Zaudtke; Niece, Kristy Bassett; Brother-in-Law, Tom Scanlon; mother and father-in-law, Eugene and Betty Bassett and Aunt Marian. Dean is survived by his son, Shaun (Leticia) Zaudtke; grand-children, Taylor (Jeremy), Zoey, and Zachary; Sister, Glennis Scanlon; brother, Ralph (Brenda) Zaudtke; Brother in Law, John (Carolyn) Bassett; Niece, Amy (Kent) Bassett -Brevik; Nephew, Jason Zaudtke; Niece, Nicole Zaudtke; great-niece, Aiyanna; great- nieces, Sophia and Mya Bassett- Brevik & great-nephew, Lucas Bassett-Brevik; niece, Tommie (Rick), and nephews, Chad & David and former and present roomies and cousins LuAnn and Sara Zaudtke, many other cousins, family and friends. "Big Zud" was known by many in the construction and real estate industry and had a heart of gold! He was a loving father, grandpa "Papa", brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and coworker! There are so many great memories and stories with this fun-loving human being. Dean loved hunting and fishing, playing cribbage, playing poker, spending time with his grandkids, Lake Vermillion and recently spending the winters in Florida. Dean will be remembered as a very generous, loving, fun, kind, and energetic man. His health was failing in his last couple of years, but he still had a positive attitude and was recently planning a Vegas trip with his family. Rest in Peace "Big Zud", you are loved, appreciated, and truly unforgettable. Services to be held on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 at the Thurston Deshaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover; visitation from 3-6pm with service at 6pm.
