Raffenbeul, Samuel J. of Albertville MN, passed away in his sleep the morning of January 1st, 2021 of unknown causes. Sam was born Feb. 26th, 2004 the son of Sadie and John Raffenbeul. At an early age Sam was diagnosed with Autism. Throughout his life he overcame the basic challenges of life doing so with dignity, and more often than not, his special humor. He was an inspiration to all that met him. Sam helped others with Autism to realize it was OK to be extraordinary. Sam loved to entertain others by posting videos on his YouTube channel. Sam enjoyed riding his bike and was known throughout the neighborhood as he waved to all he passed. Sam's brain was donated to Autism BrainNet keeping in Sam's giving spirit. Sam is survived by parents John and Sadie, sister Autumn Wheelock, brothers Jack and Gabe, nieces, Ellie and Cora Svobodny, nephew Luca Svobodny, uncles and aunts (God parents) Susan and Jeff Burke, Molly and Steve Gensmer, Shawn Neudauer, grandmother Chuckie Patton and many cousins. Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents Joel and Vonnie Raffenbeul, uncle Scott Raffenbeul, grandfather Thomas Neudauer. Thanks to all the school teachers and administration at Rogers Elementary, Middle and High schools. A special thanks to Ellie Warzecha who was a special education teacher present through most of Sam's education and Sonya Tonna in the last 3 years. All of you are the people who made Sam love school and gave so much to help mold him into the fine young man he was. Our family is eternally grateful. A graveside service for Sam will be held at 11:00 am Sat. June 19th at Grandview Park Cemetery, 6901 Maloney Ave, Hopkins, MN. From 1-4 pm, a celebration of life gathering will be at the River Inn, 11220 River Rd NE, Hanover, MN.
