Joseph 'Joe' Wajda, III

Wajda, Joseph "Joe" III Age 74 of NE Mpls succumbed to the ravishes of dementia on April 29, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Jr. and mother Antoinette (Curyl); brother, Anthony; sister-in-law, Kerri (Swart) Wajda. Survived by siblings; brothers, Lawrence, James, Andrew, Ronald, and Donald (Patty) Wajda; and sister, Barb Wajda; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joe was the oldest of 8 children, and attended St. Charles Borromeo Elementary School, graduated from St. Thomas Academy, Nazareth Hall Seminary, and The Catholic University of America School of Canon Law. Joe was a former catholic priest and practiced canon law for the St. Paul Arch Diocese for over 35 years. After several falls, he developed dementia and continued a slow decline. His passing was a blessing as dementia is a terrible agonizing way to watch a loved one decline. While sorting through Joe's personal papers, we found thousands of birthday cards, Christmas cards, thank you cards, and general correspondence from countless people that he baptized, married, counseled or served over the years.
