Edwards, George P. Age 81 of Roseville, grew up in Woodstock and Pipestone, MN, passed away on April 18, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Gladys; step-parents, LuElla and Arnie Nissen; sister, LuJean Edwards; sister-in-law, Marguerite Harvieux; brother-in law, Jeff Scherman. Survived by beloved wife and best friend of 48 years, Rita; loved son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Martyna; granddaughter, Eliana; sisters-inlaw, Terese (Jeff) Pederson, Paula Rosin (Bob Lorentz), and Joanne Scherman; other relatives and friends. He graduated from the U of M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his 39+ years of federal service at NASA, Edwards Air Force Base, Lancaster, CA. His mother-in-law believed it was named after him. He then worked for Defense Contract Admin Services (DCAS) in the Twin Cities area. He graduated from the Roseville Civilian Police Academy, volunteer- ed as Roseville Park Patrol, Meals on Wheels, Medical Rides to the Elderly, St. Rose Arts and Environment Committee, and founding member of 20+ years in the St. Rose bell choir. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thursday, April 22 at ST. ROSE OF LIMA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2048 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville. Visitation 4-7 PM Wednesday at MUELLER- BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N.
