Harkins, Richard John passed away on Feb. 22, 2021 at age 92. He was a veteran of the Korean war and a retired chemist with the Dept. of Defense. Dick is survived by his wife, Virginia, and sons; Jeff (MN), Jim (CA) and Tom (CA). His son, Greg, preceded him in death. He always felt blessed by his surviving extended family; Tom Philipps, Diane Sewall, Rachel McCarthy, Cailyn McCarthy, Dustin and Julie Harkins and Gabby Lu Harkins. Dick became blind in his later years and showed us all how to accept gradual health loss with peace and uncomplaining dignity. MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND LOVE. Private burial to be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
