Chutich (Wheeler), Olivia Jenifer Our beautiful and beloved daughter, Olivia, died tragically on January 22nd. Our hearts are broken into millions of pieces at the loss of her. As her mothers, we know that we were given the most precious of gifts for 21 years. We weren't perfect parents, and she wasn't a perfect child, but we were a perfect match. And what a love story it was. Olivia was born in Guatemala, coming into our lives as an infant. She was loved from the moment that we set eyes on her and deeply so throughout her too-short life. Her vibrant spirit, heart-on-her-sleeve emotions, kindness, compassion, and glorious smile are remembered by all who crossed her path. Olivia loved gathering with family and friends, playing games (especially "Set" in which she trounced everyone), and cheering on the Gopher and Cyclone teams in sporting events. She made family events much more fun by finding just the right person to tease. Olivia attended Breck School from Kindergarten to her graduation in 2017. A student at Iowa State, she was a proud member of the Tri - Delta sorority. Olivia had found her stride academically and socially, with a circle of supportive "sisters." She had eagerly anticipated returning to campus for the latter half of her COVID-influenced junior year. Olivia is surrounded by a wide circle of those who loved her beyond words. They include her mothers, Margaret Chutich and Penny Wheeler; her aunts and uncles, Mark Wheeler (Denise Murphy), Sue Wheeler, Catherine Anne Chutich (Charles Martin), Michael Chutich (Susan Gretz), Wendy Ogaard (Ryan Ogaard); and cousins, Mike, Brett, Annelise, and Toby; and many fun - loving and wonderful second cousins. She was predeceased by her treasured grandparents, Roma and Ray Wheeler, and Marlys and Joseph Chutich. Memorials may be directed to the Olivia Jenifer Wheeler Chutich Scholarship Fund #23887, University of Minnesota Foundation.
