Skinner, Alice Louise (Ekstrand) age 97 of Plymouth, MN, born and raised in Cokato, MN, passed away peacefully January 21, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Ernst and Margaret; 8 brothers and 4 sisters (she was the "baby" and last surviving sibling) and husband Jack. Survived by son Thomas John (TJ) and daughter in law Anita of St. Louis Park; Vicki Karnitz of St. Petersburg, FL and Mary Kraemer of Plymouth, Grandchildren, Amy, Kim, KayJo and Melanie; great-grandsons Joshua, Tyler and Jake; numerous loving relatives and friends. She loved them all. She was witty, funny and had to have her lipstick on! She worked at "Ma Bell" for 25 years. After retiring, she was very active in all of her churches/bible study groups in Little Falls, Crystal, Plymouth, California and Prior Lake. She made amazing, loving friends at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Ramsey. She loved reading books, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and her People Magazine! We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the terrific Interim Home Hospice team who guided her care during the last couple of months. These are the saints that walk among us. Due to COVID concerns/restrictions there will be no public memorial service planned at this time. A private family burial will take place at Ft. Snelling. We hope to plan a Celebration of Life for Alice in the coming summer months. Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home Anoka 763-421-0220 thurston-lindberg.com
