Rhode, Clarence and Isabelle On Thursday, November 19, 2020, Clarence Rhode and on Saturday, November 21, 2020, Isabelle Rhode, loving husband and wife and parents of three children, passed away, Clarence at age 103, Isabelle at age 94. Clarence was born on November 3, 1917 in Polk, Nebraska to Fred and Elsie Rhode. He attended Seward Teachers College. He was an Army Captain in World War II, discharged in 1946. He attended Minnesota School of Business and started an accounting practice. Clarence loved the accounting work. He also loved to share his Christian faith. Isabelle was born on March 14, 1926 in Lakefield, Minnesota to George and Ruth Rentschler. She attended Bethany Lutheran College. She was a school teacher for several years, homemaker and volunteer at Methodist Hospital. They were preceded in death by their parents and granddaughter, Melissa. They are survived by their three children, Linda, Mark and Jean; their grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew and Mathew; great grandchildren, Marguerite, Aidan, Beatrice, Clarence; his sisters, Delores Glasser, Phyllis Pinnow and Barbara Pinnow; Isabelle's sisters, Dorothy Fricke and Kay Becken and brother Bill Rentschler; many nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held on December 7. A celebration of their lives is planned for post Covid summer of 2021. Family requests no flowers.
