Deborah Peterson Deborah Peterson

Peterson, Deborah was born to Frank and Delores (Klima) Seifert on March 16, 1949 in Memphis, Tennesee, and died peacefully of pneumonia on November 7, 2020 in Phoeinx, Arizona. Debbie went to the Basilica of St. Mary grade school, St. Margaret's Academy, and the U of M in Minneapolis, MN until she married Larry Peterson, with whom she had 2 daughters. They raised the girls in Chicagoland, and wherever they lived, Debbie continued her education, majoring in Art and Design. She excelled at everything she tried, especially painting and drawing, and had a ready sense of humor and a good belly laugh. She loved her daughters, extended family, family parties, all animals especially horses, cats, and dogs- sports (especially football), driving her Jeep Renegade, and all outlets for creativity: Art, Theater, Cooking, Music, Fashion, but especially the Fine Arts. For example, in 8th grade, Debbie wrote a play, directed it, made the costumes, and starred in it. In the late 1970s, she was hit by the serve of a tennis ball on the side of her head. At about that same time, she lost her sight, which changed her life. We are all thrilled that Debbie can now SEE the Guardian Angels who have protected her. And we extend our gratitude for the excellent care shown Deborah at Maravilla Care Center in Phoenix, AZ, and for the caring oversight of the Maricopa County Public Fiduciary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Michaelene; and her nephew, Matthew. She is survived by her daughters, Cristi (Michael) Landingham of Litchfield Park, AZ, and Dana Peterson of Peoria, AZ; 2 grandsons; her brother, Frank Seifert of San Diego, CA; sisters, Cassie (Bruce) Tyler of Elk River, MN, Mary (Larry) McIntyre of St. Paul, MN; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mass with livestream at the Basilica of Saint Mary on December 2, 2020, at 10:00 AM CST. Go to Mary.org to view the livestream. Due to Covid, interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Men- dota Heights, MN will be private. O'Halloran and Murphy 651-698-0796
