Barbara Leann Dannenberg, lovingly known as Gigi, went home to be with God on Friday, November 13th 2020.
Barb recently retired from an impressive career with UPS where she loved her work, her colleagues and her customers. She was filling her days with her children and grandchildren, new adventures with Tony, and doing anything she could to be helpful to those around her. Barb will forever be known for her selflessness, her zest for life, her sense of humor, her big personality and her even bigger heart.
Barb is survived by her husband and love of her life, Tony Schmid; her daughters, Stacy (Luke) Anderson, Sara (Dan) Moret; her stepchildren, Nick (Andrea), Haylea and Tanner Schmid. Her greatest joys were her “grandbabies” Presley, Everly, Maddie, Lulu, Hannah & Lila. Brother Jon (Marlene) Glaesman and family; Barb’s sister, Bonnie (Mike) Juskiewicz and her children Danielle, Michael (Mandi), Jen (Matt) and their families were so special to her; sister Tina and family. Aside from the close family she loved and doted on, Barb leaves behind a vast network of extended family and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held in 2021 when it’s safe to pull together the immense group of people who want to celebrate their love for Barb. The family will share details as plans can be safely made.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Family of Christ Church in Ham Lake, MN or the Animal Humane Society can be made in Barb’s name.
