Vagle, Melvin C. age 86, of Edina, passed away surrounded by his family of COVID-19 on November 13, 2020. Survived by his sons, Mark (Jennifer), Wade (Beth) and their mother, Helen Vagle. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Will, Sophie, Quinn, Griffin, Carson, Riley, Ben and Adam, as well as his brother Fred (Anna Mae) Vagle and sister- in-law, Jeanie Vagle. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ron Vagle and sister Harriet Smith. Mel was born on a small farm in Lake Bronson, MN on Sep 26, 1934. In 1958 Mel graduated from the University of MN with a degree in Metallurgy, and married Helen Pleasance of Cavalier, ND. Mel went on to found two successful businesses in the tool coating industry. In his retirement, Mel enjoyed spending time with his family and his spiritual community. Mel could light up any gathering with his warmth, positive energy, unending curiosity, and intelligence.
