Johnson (Nelson), Pauline Elizabeth Age 82, of Golden Valley, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 16, 2020 at 1:05am. Pauline was born August 14, 1938 to Ole and Julia Nelson in Tower, MN. She is survived by her loving husband, George Johnson; adoring children, Cathy (Larry) Kurvers, Jimmy (Jennifer) Griffiths, Sandi (Kevin) Olson, Cristina Morales (Derek Brown); step children, Chris (Sohnya) Johnson, Eric (Connie) Johnson, Tim (Sig) Johnson, George (Debi) Johnson, Laura Johnson, Jeff Johnson; 24 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and loyal dog, Oliver. Complications following an advanced cancer diagnosis quickly and unexpectedly overcame her. She put forth a valiant fight to give her loved ones enough time to say goodbye, using the strength she had left to get in the last word, writing in the air, "I love you more!" She is preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Julia Nelson; sisters, Barbara Vessel, Marcella Mollers, Mary Juntunen, June Nelson; daughter-in-law, Linda Griffiths and first husband, Kenneth Griffiths. A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Pauline will be held online using Zoom with Pastor Ashley Osborn, pastor at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church officiating.
