Hooker, Paul "Hook" Age 70 of Bloomington, loving husband, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Care, St. Paul, MN. Paul fought a private, one-year battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on August 22, 1950 in Minneapolis, and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1968. In 1975, Paul became a member of Local UTU 1614. And in 2010, he retired from a 35-year career as a Switchman with the CNW/UP Railroad. Paul was very proud of his career with the Railroad, along with the friendships he made throughout his working years. Avid "collector" of many things, mostly fishing memorabilia. Some of Paul's favorite childhood memories were days spent at his grandparents' home on Wacouta Beach south of Red Wing. He so enjoyed his time at the Camper up in Breezy Point, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Shirley Hooker; and in-laws, Jim and Dorothy Tarnish. Survived by loving wife and best friend of 34 years, Kassie; brother, Dan Hooker (Janet); sister, Kathy Peterson (Doug); brother, Billy Hooker; and many nieces and nephews. Paul will be especially remembered for his one-line zingers and a gift for making friends laugh. If you wish to remember Paul in a special way, please donate to Our Lady of Peace Hospice, 2076 St Anthony Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104, or to any facility for Cats with special needs. No service will be held. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waukesha, WI at a later date.
