He graduated from Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park, MN in 1978 and studied machining at Hennepin Technical College. He worked as a tool and die maker for 42 years and spent the last 26 years at Honeywell in Minneapolis, He was a very skilled tradesman who was often sought out for help and advice. He lived in Champlin, MN for 30 years where he raised his three children and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. He enjoyed car shows, tractor pulls and watching drag races at BIR with his brother Rob. Later in life Larry enjoyed collecting glass blown fish and old coffee cans (even though he never drank coffee), antiquing, horseback riding, traveling, and just "chasing around" as he called it, with his life partner Carol. He was a man of many interests. Larry had a way with words and loved to tell stories and jokes, often making himself laugh so much in the process that he had a hard time finishing. He is survived by his children Justin, Steven and Melinda; parents Merlin and Muriel; former spouse of 35 years and mother to his children, Audrey; brothers Rob (Constance) Quanrud and Tom (Brian Schneider) Quanrud; life partner, Carol Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
