Lubinski, Troy Alan passed away unexpectedly in his home in Remer, Minnesota on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. He was 59. Troy was born on November 18, 1960 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a firefighter for the City of Minneapolis for 10 years before he was forced to leave the fire department due to his health. In the last few years, Troy fulfilled his dream of opening up his own thrift store in Remer, Minnesota. While up north, Troy enjoyed spending time with his family at their resort, especially the late-night talks he had with his mom, hanging out with his friends at Bowstring Lake, and walking through the woods with his beloved dogs and constant companions, Boone and Scout. Troy loved hunting, fishing, and finding thrifted treasures to sell at his store. Troy truly loved sharing his extensive knowledge of anything and everything, especially fishing, with anyone looking to learn. Troy was always focused on helping others before himself and to his family and friends, Troy was the toughest guy they knew. Troy lived his life the way he wanted, and his family loved him for it. Troy is survived by his children, Paige and Pierce (Macey), his wife, Stephanie, his mother, Marlys, his siblings Joe (Peggy), Patty (Dean), Susie (Chris), Cyndy (John) and Jan (Tom), and also Matt, Tiffany, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family. Troy was a loving father, friend to everyone, and loved by so many. A celebration of Troy's life will be held at 6:00-7:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Elsie's, 729 Marshall Street Northeast, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55413.
