Candyce Lynn 'Candy' Glomsrud

Glomsrud, Candyce Lynn "Candy" age 73 of Edina, died peacefully at home with her husband and children at her bedside on September 12, 2020. Candy lived with Joshua 1:9 in her heart during a 3 1/2 year battle with a form of pancreatic cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Florence (Anderson) McMahon, and sister, Cheryl K. Clark. Grateful to the Lord for her life and dedication to her family are her husband, Dale; children: Paige Garber (Steven), Ryan Glomsrud (Elizabeth); and grandchildren: William (13) and Samuel Garber (11); and Soren (10), Ingrid (9), and Gunnar (7) Glomsrud. Dale and Candy recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. They lived a block away from each other during elementary school and were in the same class from 2nd through 5th grade. Dale enjoyed pulling Candy's ponytail to say hello in grade school. They began dating as freshmen in 1964 at the University of Minnesota and were married on September 6, 1968. Candy exemplified incredible courage, an unstoppable spirit, and a strong faith in her Lord and His promise of life everlasting. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages charitable donations "in memory of Candyce Glomsrud" to ministries that were very near to Candy's heart and which she supported for many years, including Watoto Children's Ministries (13617 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, FL 33613 watoto.com/…) and Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation (2924 Fourth Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55408 urbanventures.org/…).
