Lobdell, Judy Lillian of Mora, MN, formerly of Eden Prairie, MN, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 74 years old. Judy was born on September 4, 1946 in Mora, MN to Norman and Lillian (Moline) Lobdell. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora and graduated from Mora High School as a member of the class of 1964. After high school she attended St. Cloud State University and graduated in 1968 with a teaching degree. She taught English and History for 15 years for grades 7-8 and 10. From 1983 until 2005 she worked as an in- home nanny. For the next 10 years she had her own apartment but still would nanny for families during the day or the occasional overnight. Judy kept in contact with several of the families, even as the kids grew up and she moved on to new families. She would often attend the kid's games or events. Judy also volunteered in classrooms. She always enjoyed watching kids grow and learn, as well as sewing, reading, cooking and jig saw puzzles. In 2016 she moved back to Mora when dementia set in. Her great-niece Kinzie was the only person Judy knew by name long after she no longer recognized anyone else. Thank you to the staff at Eastwood Assisted Living, St. Croix Hospice and St. Clare Living Community during Judy's battle with dementia. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles. Judy is survived by her sister, Nancy Nelson; brother, Gordon (Rita) Lobdell; special niece, Kristin Nelson & Kinzie Nelson, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
