Evans, Clyde E. Age 95, of Mounds View, passed away on July 25, 2020. Preceded in death by parents Josie and Jack Evans; 3 brothers Lyle, Orville and Maurice; wife Doris and son Wayne. Survived by sister Imogene (aka Mitzi), son Wesley (Patti); grandchildren Nate (Naomi), Justin, Chad, Ashley, Joe (Lisa), Craig, Josie (Jon), Zachary (Shelby), Dustin, Brandy (Michael) and many great-grandchildren. Clyde was born in Balsam Lake WI. At the age of 19 he joined the Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was wounded in combat and was also was awarded a Purple Heart. Clyde and Doris were married on June 22, 1951 and enjoyed many years of camping and traveling with friends and family. He retired from Land O'Lakes after 30 years of service. He was known for his hats and he also stayed busy making American Flag pins and Tin Men. Clyde was a collector and talker, happy to sit and "jaw" a while, always at the ready with a joke. He was devoted to his family, a loving man with a jovial spirit. He will be missed. Clyde will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Tuesday August 4th, 10:30 AM assembly area #4.
