Headla, David R. 2/5/28 - 6/12/20 (Age 92) Dave grew up in Excelsior, graduated with a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Served in the Army until 1956, then worked at Control Data until retirement. Dave loved horses, the Carver County Mounted Posse, woodworking, marathons, bicycling, fishing, hunting, traveling, racquetball, mountain climbing, & genealogy as his family would say, "His heart and soul were into everything he did." Preceded in death by son David "Ray" Headla, and great granddaughter Raegan Headla. Survived by wife, Barbara "Bobbie", their two children Kathryn Peterson of Excelsior, Mark Headla of Excelsior, Grandson Matthew (Emily) Headla of Chaska and Lowell Peterson. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9th at 5-6:30PM at Huber Funeral Home in Excelsior; a short service will begin at 6:30 PM.
