Gerald K. 'Jerry' Baker

Baker, Gerald "Jerry" K. Age 86 of Mound passed away on June 14, 2020. Preceded in death by son Daniel, wife Phyllis, sister Georgeann, parents George Baker and Doris Stevens, née, and son-in-law John LaLuzerne. Survived by children Paula Baker, Meredith LaLuzerne, Laura (Nathan) Baker-Olson, and Thomas (Rachel) Baker; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. Jerry was known for his generous and gentle nature. He served as a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. In life he enjoyed piloting a Piper airplane, photography, woodworking, painting, pottery, baking bread, and drinking beer. A mechanical engineer by trade, he started his own company, Centerline Industries, which he ran for many years. Private interment to be held at 10 AM on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A celebration of Jerry's life to be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to Dementia Society of America.
