Johnson, Robert Thomas age 77 of Bloomington, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 6, 2020. He was born October 3, 1942 in Mpls. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lynn Johnson and his parents, Rev. Kenneth and Alberta Johnson. Robert is survived by his 2 daughters, Candace (Jason) Ulitzsch and Kathryn (Carl) Alvis. Robert was a cherished grandfather of Allison and Kylie Ulitzsch, Keegan and Miranda Alvis. Loving brother of Kathleen (Paul) DeBeer. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was a 1960 graduate of Devils Lake High School. He graduated from Macalester College in 1964. On June 20, 1970 he was united in marriage to Mary Lynn Meadows in Ottumwa, Iowa. They were married for 36 years before her passing in 2007. Robert was a member of Normandale Lutheran Church. Robert was an avid traveler and follower of sports and the arts. He enjoyed vacationing with his family, being active in his community and biking. He was a life-long learner and loved to read. Memorial service 2 PM Friday, June 12, Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S, Mpls. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.
