Perez, SFC Paul Age 87, of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Paul was born on July 1, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Emilia Perez; sisters, Genevieve Arellano, Felicita Mejia, Antonia Martinez, Delores Kuchinski, and Molly Adan; brothers, Gregory "George" Emil and John Perez; twin infant sons, Peter and John; and son, Paul Perez, Jr. Paul will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Theresa; children, Christine "Tina" Baker, Antonio "Tony" (Sandra) Arellano, Raymond (Rita) Arellano, Linda (Larry) Johnson, Marie Perez, Virgina (Jeff) Ollestad, Theresa "Cynthia" (Richard) Lieske, Phillip Perez, Ann (Russell) Stewart, and Steven (Tammy) Perez; daughter- in-law, Dawn Perez; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Sergeant First Class Paul Perez is an Army Veteran of the Korean War where he earned the Bronze Star Medal. Paul was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Paul had a passion for CRAA Youth Sports Coaching Football team "Mustangs" and "BA Blaine Automotive" Boys softball team. Paul was presented the President's Award for 37 years dedicated serving as advisor and coach to the youth of the Community for football and softball.
