Gustafson, Raymond Richard 93, died peacefully May 30, 2020, at his residence in St Louis Park. His death was from natural causes made much worse by a Covid 19 positive test result. Ray was born and raised in Nashwauk, MN and served his country in the US Navy. He married Marilyn Newton on August 29, 1952. They shared a wonderful 68 years of marriage, raising their family in Edina, spending 40 summers at their cabin near Big Lake, 30 winters at their trailer home in Donna, TX and traveling throughout America, Mexico and Paris. Raymond is survived by his dear wife, Marilyn; sister-in-law, Armenia Gustafson; daughters, Joan Fenton and Janice Paige (Don Wagner); son, James (Miah) Gustafson; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at TowerLight and the Fairview Hospice team. Funeral arrangements are on hold but will be at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis where Ray was a member for 65 years. Interment at Fort Snelling.
