Garmers, Paul "Tony" Passed away May 16, 2020 at home with his family at age 87 after a life very well lived. Life-long resident of Prospect Park Mpls and spent time every summer on Star Island in Cass Lake, MN. Preceded in death by parents Herman and Mabel (Babe Yeaple) Garmers. Tony graduated from U-high in Mpls., the U of M and Texas A&M. He loved his service in the US Air Force and Air Force reserve as a weather forecaster. Owner of Garmers Dental Instruments. His contributions to his church & community are too numerous to mention. One of his favorites was many years of coordinating the annual opening of the Prospect Park "Witches Hat" watertower. Tony will be remembered for his kindness, humor and spirit. He will be profoundly missed. Survived by wife Greta (Ljungkull) daughters Erika (Greg Bergantz), Luisa (Will Murphy) and Margot, grandchildren Gretchen, George, Henry and Therese (Perreault) and Lillian (Murphy). A deeply loved uncle and friend to many. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at University Baptist Church in Mpls.
