Andrew Edmond Nordloef

Nordloef, Andrew Edmond Andrew passed away on May 10th, 2020 at the age of 94. Born in Minneapolis January 17, 1926 to Andrew and Sara Nordloef, Andrew grew up in South Minneapolis, attended West High School, joined the Captain Eddy program during WWII, and received his BSEE from the University of Minnesota. Andrew was a dedicated engineer that worked for 3M, Control Data and retired from Magnetic Peripherals in 1991. Andrew was a member of the Minnehaha Masonic Lodge and Andrew and Joan were members of Minnehaha United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Andrew proudly served on the organ & building committees. Andrew married Joan Lowrie in 1949 and celebrated their 70th Anniversary last December. They had 4 children. He enjoyed camping at Lake Superior, reading poetry, fixing things and being with his children, grandchildren and friends. They resided in Southwest Minneapolis for over 50 years, moved to Nokomis Square and finally Walker Methodist Health Center. Andrew is survived by his wife Joan, daughters; Nancy Neumann, son-in-law Steve Neumann and Meribeth Nordloef-Pedersen, son-in-law Matthew Pedersen, grandchildren Tessa and Alex. He is preceded in death by his sister Carol Nordloef, daughters Judy and Melinda Nordloef. Private Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
