Merlin 'Bronco' Brunkow

Brunkow, Merlin "Bronco" Age 79. Remembering the Life and Legacy. Merlin passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020. Bronco was best known for his talents on the saxophone. He was a part of the vibrant Twin Cities Funk and R&B music scene, playing with legendary artists such as Willie and the Bees, The Lamont Cranston Band, Down Right Tight, and many other local big name bands. His enthusiasm and strong passion for music brought excitement to the music scene. We will always remember how Bronco could shake up a room with his soulful sax solos. Merlin is survived by the love of his life Mindy Benver, children: Terry (Liz) Brunkow, Melissa (Craig) Martin, grandchildren: Justin (Kirsten) Brunkow, Peter Brunkow and Chelsea (Jake) Haley, 3 grandchildren, along with numerous friends and fellow musicians including Scott "Lip Lock" Snyder. Due to Covid 19, Celebration of life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to any Covid-19 Foundation of your choice.
