Stenbeck, Lloyd K. Age 88, of Eden Prairie, formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on 3/31/2020. Preceded in death in 2015 by Nancy, his cherished wife of 56 years; parents, Lorentz and Carrie Stenbeck (née Haugen); Nancy's parents, Bud and Billie Witbro; brothers-in-law Don and Jim; sister-in-law, Marilyn; and niece, Pam Witbro. Survived by daughter Suzanne McCabe; sons, Steve (Sue), Scott (Lisa), Jeff (Lisa) and Mark (Michelle); grandchildren, Crystal, Lindsay, Briana, Bailey (Rob), Colleen, Ryan, Sarah, Michael, Michael, John, Nicole, Eme, Max and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Cody, Chase, Taylor, Kaycee, Lux, Penny, Cruz and Lincoln; nieces Vickie Pierquet and Linda Witbro; also, Richard McCabe, Donna, Laura, and Amy Witbro; feline companion, Muffin; and beloved family in Norway. Lloyd was the only child of parents who emigrated from Kongsberg (Lorentz) and Melhus (Carrie), Norway. He was raised in So. Mpls. and graduated from Washburn High in 1949. Lloyd attended the U of MN before serving in W. Germany during the Korean War. Lloyd enjoyed a 38 year career with SuperValu, starting as a grocery bagger and retiring as a corporate officer. Lloyd and Nancy were proud Bloomington Jefferson Hockey parents, and Lloyd shared his love for golf with all five kids on the course at Minnesota Valley Country Club. They were happy together in a busy and fulfilling life raising their family. In retirement, Lloyd and Nancy enjoyed many travels together, highlighted by trips to visit family in Norway, establishing relationships that Lloyd continued to keep close to his heart. Lloyd was a member at Interlachen Country Club, Life Time Athletic, and St. Francis Cardiac Rehab Group where he formed special relationships that continued for the rest of his life. Grandpa was and will always be one of the most special individuals we will ever know. His family's adoration for him is everlasting.
